Announcing the Annual General Meeting 2016 and East Anglia Trombone Day

The Great Hall, Oundle School, 12 New Street, Oundle (nr Peterborough), PE8 4GH. Sunday 20th November 2016 at 09:45.
 

09:30: Registration in Great Hall (Turn right as you enter the building through the left entrance)

09:45: Annual General Meeting (Arthur Marshall Room, opposite Great Hall)

10:45: Massed Warm-up and Blow (Great Hall) Led by: Adrian Taylor (Trombonist, Conductor, Teacher and Composer)

11:00: Piano run through for Don Lusher Finalists (Cecil Lewis Room, upstairs)

12:00: Don Lusher Jazz Trombone Competition Final (Cecil Lewis Room, upstairs)
Judges: Cliff Hardie (Jazz Trombonist, who he hasn’t played for is a short list!)
Nick Hudson (Freelance Trombonist, Soloist, Teacher and Don Lusher Memorial Prize winner)
Jon Stokes (Currently in the John Wilson Orchestra, The Big Shake-Up & Dream Girls. Formerly of The Syd Lawrence Orchestra)

13:00: LUNCH 
Ben's infamous sandwiches will be available at lunch time! Fresh bread has been ordered from the local bakery, ready to be picked up and turned into glorious pieces of munchiness on Saturday evening.
Tea, coffee, water, squash, biscuits and crisps will be available all day. Donations welcome!

13:00: Piano run through for Bob Hughes Finalists (Cecil Lewis Room, upstairs)

14:00: Bob Hughes Bass Trombone Competition Final
Judges: Dave Stewart (Studio Player, Principal Bass Trombone – BBC Concert Orchestra and Professor at the Guildhall and Royal College of Music)
Adrian Taylor (Trombonist, Conductor, Teacher and Composer)
Dave Vines (Principal Bass Trombone – City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra)

15:15: Jazz Improvisation for Beginners Workshop Led by Jon Stokes

16:00: Cliff Hardie – In Conversation

16:30: Massed Blow

17:00: Short Informal Concert

 

Event Fee: £10.00 (members), £15.00 (non-members) & £5 Under 16.
