Don Lusher dies aged 82

The BTS is saddened to hear the news that the father of British trombone playing and former President of the Society Don Lusher passed away this afternoon aged 82. Don was awarded an OBE in 2003 for his services to the music industry which spanned a career of sixty years. The most well-known trombonist of his generation, leader of the Ted Heath Band and twice President of the BTS, Don will be missed by all who knew him.
