Junior Trombone Day, South Wales

Sunday 23 June 2013 the British Trombone Society and Gwent Music Support Service are running another fun-filled day of everything trombone for junior trombonists from beginner to Grade 5.

Trombonists are invited to attend this free event where they will have the opportunity to perform, watch and work with some of the best trombone players around. The day will end with a concert in which everyone will perform together. Over the last two years, attendees have benefited from the expert guidance of the trombone sections of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Welsh National Opera. This year, attendees can enjoy a special appearance from Brett Baker, (BTS Past President and principal trombone of the Black Dyke Band), guidance throughout the day from the trombone students of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and some other special guests.


Venue: Rogiet Primary School, Station Road, Caldicot, NP26 3SD

Time: 9:00am-5:00pm (Registration: 9:00am-9:30am)

Concert: 4:00pm-5:00pm - Junior trombonists take centre stage in a free concert for friends and family.
