Featuring the Trombone Section of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Admission Free to both Members and Non-Members.

A summary of the day:

10:00 - 11:15 Group warm up and technical Q & A with the pros.
11:45 - 13:00 Trombone choir/ensemble rehearsal, music to suit all abilities and group sizes!
13:00 - 14:00 Lunch. Bar serving hot and cold drinks on site, please bring a sandwich/full roast dinner to keep up the energy levels.
14:00 - 15:15 Sectional masterclass on Holst's "The Planets". A chance to hear the pros perform and the opportunity to join in and have a go yourself.
15:45 - 17:00 Performances of earlier ensemble work and final chance to grill the professionals.

During the morning (10:00 -13:00) we will also be running a taster session for children to come and have a go at the trombone. This session will be led by newly appointed Head of Brass for Dorset, John Randall. John is not only an experienced teacher but is also a busy performer who has worked with major orchestras across Europe.

The other leaders on the day are the section of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (Kevin Morgan, Robb Tooley & Kevin Smith), and busy freelance bass trombonist James Buckle.
