Burt Rhodes Scores
Burt Rhodes who died in 2003 at the age of 80, was the former musical director of the Talk of the Town, London and a prolific composer and arranger working in TV and the theatre. He is known for his work on Dr. No (1962), Crackerjack! (1955) and The Good Life (1975).
He was chiefly known for his love of music and cricket and was former president and founder member of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Southern Group.
Burt was born at Guiseley, near Leeds, West Yorkshire. He conducted the BBC Radio Orchestra and wrote the music for several TV shows.
These scores are for four trombones, rhythm and other instruments and are believed to have been used in BBC radio programmes, possibly Workers’ Playtime.
