Terms & Conditions

1. Definition of Terms

1.1 The Library - the body of musical works comprising original compositions, arrangements and transcriptions belonging to the British Trombone Society.

1.2 The Librarian - the official of the British Trombone Society who manages the Library.

1.3 The Music - the composition, arrangement, or transcription forming part of the Library.

1.4 The User - the entity which uses music downloaded from the British Trombone Society.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Only Members of the British Trombone Society are entitled to download and use music from the Library. Music may be downloaded by Regional Representatives when they are organising BTS trombone events and by teachers for use in educational or training sessions provided no payment is received for performances.

3. Orders

3.1 The Music must be ordered at least two weeks before the event.

3.2 No more than five pieces may be ordered at a time, unless previously discussed and agreed with the Librarian.

4. Performing Rights

4.1 All arrangements and compositions in the BTS Library are intended for non-public gatherings.

4.2 If the User intends to use the Music at public, fee-paying concerts, permissions should be sought from the Performing Rights Society and all relevant forms processed. It is the responsibility of the User to ensure that the necessary permissions are sought in advance of any performance of the Music at public, fee-paying concerts. The British Trombone Society takes no responsibility for organising the necessary permissions for the use of the Music at public, fee-paying concerts. 4.3 The British Trombone Society has charitable status and is classed as a Community Organisation.

5. Change of Terms and Conditions

5.1 Further Terms and Conditions may be provided by the Librarian when the Music is ordered.
5.2 The British Trombone Society reserves the right to change or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
