The BTS (North West) is pleased to announce its annual Solo and Quartet Competition, which takes place on Sunday 6th December 2009 at Peel Hall, University of Salford.

The contest, previously only open to quartets, is expanding due to the growing popularity of the BTS and the society is keen to welcome as many soloists and quartets as possible to what promises to be a fantastic day.

Categories are as follows:

• Junior Slow Melody (16 and under)
• Open Solo
• Junior Quartet (At least 2 of the players 16 or under)
• Open Quartet

Entry costs for BTS members stand at £5 per soloist and £20 per quartet (or £10 and £40 respectively for non-BTS members).
