Project Funding

In addition to our Annual Bursaries, the BTS welcomes proposals from members to support larger projects. We ask that you consider the  text below and submit a written proposal to the Committee for consideration. All proposals will be heard and the decision of the Committee is final.

If the BTS cannot financially support your proposal, the committee will aim to offer organisational help and ‘soft skills’ help for members.

WHAT ARE THE AIMS OF THE BTS?

We exist to promote the trombone and its repertoire in all musical styles. The BTS commissions new compositions, arranges concerto performances, recitals, workshops, lectures and seminars.

Parameters/guidelines for funding;

What?

Concerts, recordings, events, commissions (original works or interesting/useful arrangements) particularly from under represented demographics, workshops, lectures, educational tools, community projects, trombonists facing barriers to progress, younger performers at the beginning of their careers, Instrument purchase/hire, lessons.

Applicants should be members of BTS where appropriate (Including all members of chamber groups)

Applicants will need to show how their project aligns with BTS aims and values.

Does the project promote the trombone to a wider audience?
