Performances at the 40th Anniversary International Trombone Festival

First - $2500, Second - $1250, Third - $750

Purpose
To encourage composition of new works for trombone ensemble, showcasing the unique and diverse capabilities of the trombone playable by skilled amateur trombonists and above.

The pieces should be accessible and help to popularise the trombone when played for general audiences.

Who may enter
Anyone

Requirements
A work for trombone ensemble (4-8 parts) of intermediate to advanced grade. Three to nine minutes in length. Unpublished original works written after 1 January 2008.

Entry Materials
Full score (one with composer's name and one without) and parts in PDF format. CD or electronic submission with MP3 recording of MIDI or performance of piece.

Performance
The prize-winning pieces will be performed at the 40th Anniversary International Trombone Festival 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee by Bone Therapy (a Nashville Community Trombone Ensemble).

Publication
The International Trombone Association will have right of first refusal regarding publication until 31 December 2012. All submissions remain part of the Bone Therapy library.
