Whitehead joins RCM faculty

The RCM has announced Rupert Whitehead as one of three additions joining the Brass Faculty from September 2024, along with horn player Zoë Tweed and trumpeter Christian Barraclough

Rupert joined the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022, performing regularly across the world and actively engaging with their Community and Education department, RPO Resound. Rupert also serves as a BTS Committee member.

Amos Miller, Head of Brass at the Royal College of Music, commented: ‘I’m delighted to welcome a triumvirate of talent to the Brass Faculty professorial staff: Zoë, Christian and Rupert are all brilliant teachers and lovely people, as well as being some of finest brass players I know. They will be a wonderful addition to our world-class teaching staff.’
