Kaveli Aho concerto discussed
Posted 28 June 2007 by Robert Sheldrake
Recently the Minnesota Orchestra accompanied their principal trombone, R. Douglas Wright, in performances of Kalevi Aho's Symphony No. 9 for Trombone and Orchestra. He gave a 10 minute interview on Minnesota Public radio that can still be heard on-line, during which he talks about the piece and demonstrates excerpts on trombone and alto sackbut.
It's one of the most challenging things I've undertaken, for sure!
Here is the launch page for the audio: Wright puts on a slide show.
